Filters used in EDM machines differ in both their size and basic technological characteristics: types of filtering cloth, area of filtering cloth, degree of filtration, direction of flow, etc. Our company offers filters with a single and double filtering cloth made of synthetic fiber or paper.
Filters with paper filtering cloth have a fairly small bandwidth, the degree of filtration (for wire-cutting machines) is from 3 to 10 microns. Synthetic fiber due to its properties prevents the penetration of the smallest particles into the working fluid, thereby improving the quality of filtration on the machine, the degree of filtration is from 1 to 3 microns.
In comparison with paper, synthetic fiber is more durable, thereby prolonging the service life of the filter element. Paper filters are also used in piercing machines for cleaning the working fluid. The degree of filtration is from 10 to 25 microns, this is due to the greater viscosity of the working fluid in the equipment of this type.
