PURPOSE:
The machine frame has “Direct Force” design where Y-axis is located on the machine bed and X-axis (work table) is located on top of the Y-axis. This design provides good structural rigidity for small-size machines. The machines feature a machining accuracy of ±3.5 μm, best roughness of machining surface Ra 0.35 µm (with the S Power Module). In the standard version all axes are driven by AC servo motors connected directly to the ball screws. The machine has a closed loop control via linear optical scales with 0.2 μm resolution to the servo drives. Optionally, X and Y axes can be equipped with linear drives. The GE series machine is equipped with a wing-type tank door, while GA series has a sliding-down door that requires less production floor area.
